Obituary for Bernard Franklin "Bernie" Tonalli

Bernard "Bernie" Franklin Tonalli, 73, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at his residence while under the care of his family and Hospice.
Born July 20, 1941 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late Bernard Franklin Tonalli and Margaret Virginia Hockenberry Tonalli.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as Choir Director for 47+ years. He was a retired school teacher with 33 years of service and formed the High Voltage Show Choir and also coached golf at Hedgesville High School.
Bernard was a member of the quartet that won the National DeMolay Barber Shop Quartet in Kansas City. He played string bass with the Don Wendall Orchestra for many years. He also directed the Corning Men's Chorus.
He was a graduate of Martinsburg High School Class of 1959. He received his bachelor degree at Shepherd College and his Master degree from James Madison University.
He is survived by his wife of 51 1/2 years, Lana Tallent Tonalli; one daughter Karmen Fair and husband, Matt; two grandchildren, Ashley Albright and husband, Billie Riggleman, and Kyle Albright; his cousins, James W. Hockenberry and wife, Joyce, and W. Ann Tonalli; and his many fur babies.
Services will be announced at a later date.
