Bernard Robert  Fravel Sr.
Bernard Robert Fravel, Sr., 75, of Bunker Hill, died Thursday, October 23, 2014, at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born July 10, 1939 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Edgar Evon Fravel and Rosealee Anna Trail Fravel.

Mr. Fravel was retired from the U.S. Navy; and was a member of the VFW, Loyal Order of Moose and Williamsport Redmans.

He played bass with the following bands Whiskey River Band, AL Hogan Band, Hard to Get and Country Fugitives.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Settle Fravel; three sons, Eric Fravel of Minnesota,
Jay Fravel of Bunker Hill and Bernard Fravel, Jr., and step-son, Bobby Gue, both of Martinsburg; one daughter, Debbie Snellings, of Frederick, Maryland, and step-daughter
Serena Gue, of Bunker Hill; and several grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Wendy; two brothers, Kenneth Fravel, Sr., and Clifford Fravel, Sr., and three sisters, Katherine Houck, two infant sisters, Betty and Nancy.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, October 27, 2014, at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28th, at the funeral chapel with Pastor Charles Henry officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Rosedale Cemetery.
