Robert Lee  Dove
Robert Lee Dove, 86, of Kearneysville, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Grenich Homecare.

Born September 15, 1928 in Strasburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Jasper Loy and Josie Frances Gochenour Dove.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Williamsport, Maryland.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army-Corp of Engineers, a member of the Moose Lodge, and the American Legion 212.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis F. Cavanaugh Dove; daughter, Vicki Jo Orr and husband, Michael of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Jennifer Orr, Julie Bolyard and husband, Philip, Rebecca Orr Wachtel and husband Jonathan, and Laura Orr; four great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Grant, and Isaac Bolyard and Burkley Rogers; brother, Allen W. Dove, of Kearneysville; sister, Ethel V. Kelley, of Falling Waters; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bentley Dove, and two sisters, Elizabeth Swope and Nora Dove.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug Knupp officiating. Military graveside services will be held in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle or the Berkeley County Humane Society.
