George Olin "Jack"  Grant
George Olin "Jack" Grant, 73, of Martinsburg passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at his residence.

Born January 5, 1941 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late Lee Sowers Grant and Mildred Pitzer Sites.

He was a life-time farmer. He had served as Past President of the Hedgesville High School Alumni Association; board member of Southern States; past board member of DHIA and on the Dairy Herd Improvement Association.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn R. Mongan Grant; two daughters, Toni Lynn Reedy and husband, Michael of Gerrardstown; Robin Lee Wean and husband, Dean of Martinsburg; three grandchildren, Daniel R. Wean, Suzzanne Sheets, and Misty Reedy; five great-grandchildren, Sarah-Beth M. Reedy, Isabel L. Middleton, Grace L. Sheets, Lilian Faith Sager, and Sadie Ryann Wean; two sisters, Joan S. Raney of Inwood, Jean S. Murphy and husband, Roger of Martinsburg; and his caregiver Kathy Hansen.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin R. Wean and one brother, Charles L. Grant.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home.

Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Pastor Mickey Joe Elliott and Chaplain Doug Knupp officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
