Obituary for Helen Lucille Jenkins (Funk)

Helen Lucille Jenkins, 96, of Martinsburg went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born October 6, 1917 in Dwight, IL, she was the daughter of the late George and Emma Hansen Funk.
She was a 50+ member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church; and had been a volunteer with City Hospital from 1988-2011 and member of the Berkeley Medical Center Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Files and husband, Danyel "Danny" of Martinsburg; two granddaughters, Shawn Files and Shelly Poland and husband, John; three great-grandchildren, Lauryn Scott, Michael and Katherine Palumbo; one brother, Donald Funk and wife, Marilyn; sister-in-law, Anna Mae Funk; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence William Jenkins; one daughter, Judith Ann Jenkins Fearnow; one brother, Glenn Funk; one sister, Myrtle Held; and brother-in-law Ivan Held.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11:00AM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor John R. Yost officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
