Obituary for Vernon Calvin Monroe
Vernon C. Monroe, 42, of Martinsburg, transitioned to his new life on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, from Hospice Home Care in Kearneysville, WV 25430.
Born on June 11, 1972 in Martinsburg, he is the son of Kathy L. Monroe Harris and stepfather, Kirk Harris, of Martinsburg and Preston Dozier and stepmother, Cheryl of Temecula, CA.
He was a 1993 graduate of Jefferson High School and was employed at Lowe Products in Shepherdstown.
He is survived by a daughter, Kaitlin Snyder, of Winchester, VA: brothers, James A. Monroe, of Martinsburg and Preston and Aaron Dozier of Temecula, CA; sisters, Lavonda Monroe of VA Beach, VA, Donna Monroe, Shanna Hamil and husband, Cleverton, Betty Monroe and husband, PK Yeboah, all of Martinsburg; four uncles, seven aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Vernon was preceded in death by a brother, Preston Monroe, both maternal and paternal grandparents; two aunts, two uncles and multiple cousins.
Services Saturday 3:00PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with receiving from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at the funeral chapel prior to services.
Interment will be private.
