Obituary for Larry Marsel Washington

Larry Marsel Washington, 56, of Martinsburg, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Mt. Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Born April 23, 1958 in Martinsburg, he was the son of Virginia Irene (Dokes) Washington and the late Harry Lewis Washington.

He was involved with the Bunker Hill Mount Table Baptist Church for a number of years and a life-long member of the Boys and Girls Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three sons, Gavin and Larry Jr. Washington and Jerome Norris; step-son, Charles Cook, Jr.; six grandchildren, Jerome Quincy Norris, Jr. and Jahiem Quincy Norris, Avian Marsel Washington, Ajiae Anthony Washington, Amire Preston Washington and his twin sister, Amaura (“Chichi,” grandaddy’s baby girl) Nicole Washington; and two brothers, Lewis Washington and wife, Cynthia, and Ricky Junior Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Tyrone Lockett.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
