Obituary for Eileen Byers Sherman

Eileen Byers Sherman, 83, of Hedgesville, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Care Haven Center.
Born August 19, 1931 in Cherry Run, WV she was the daughter of the late Leonard Edgar Flohr Byers and Edith May Wood Byers.
She was a volunteer with Hospice serving as a grief counselor, phone calls for donations, and assisted with their mailings.
She is survived by one son, Larry Van Sherman and wife, Barbara; one daughter, Gaye Robertson; three grandsons, Lucas Sherman, Travis Robertson, and Michael Robertson, Jr.; one brother, Max Byers; one sister, Wanda Cave; and a niece, whom she along with her husband, raised, Shirley A. Evans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Andrew Sherman, Jr.; and one sister, Pamela Byers.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00AM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Kerns officiating. Interment will be in Johnsontown Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions be made to Johnsontown Church of the Brethren Cemetery Fund, PO Box 278, Hedgesville, WV 25427.
