Obituary for Malinda Arthelia Vance (Painter)

Malinda Arthelia Vance, 55, of Harpers Ferry, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014, at the Inova Loudoun Hospital. Born August 8, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Franklin Painter, Sr. and Dollie Arthelia Knighting Painter.
Malinda was of the Episcopal faith. She was a graduate of the Yvonne Devilar School and had worked as an esthetician.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Ray Vance; three daughters: Teresa Bordner, and husband Richard, of Harpers Ferry, Lisa Dasch, and husband Karl, and Katie Penwell, and husband Gary, of Yellow Spring, West Virginia; two grandchildren: Mathias and Jessica Dasch; two brothers: Gerald “Hank” Painter, Jr., of Georgia, and Mark Painter, of Harpers Ferry; and one sister, Lily Brigham, of Middletown, Maryland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Melanie Anderson.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 10, 2014, at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Pastor Dennis Crowley officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday at the Jefferson Chapel.
