Obituary for Sharon Elizabeth Painter (McNive)

Sharon Elizabeth “McNive” Painter, 60, of Ranson, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Jefferson Medical Center. Born August 21, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ethel Lorraine Conner Hann.

Sharon was of the Lutheran faith. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who loved cooking for her family. She was always there to lend a helping hand to others. She was a laborer for Kent Manufacturing. She was a member of the VFW #3522, the American Legion Post 71, and of the Moose Lodge # 948.

Sharon is survived by 2 sons: Mark Painter, and Chanell, of Charles Town, and Clayton Kirby, of Ranson; 1 brother, Roger Peyton, and wife Tammy, of Brunswick, Maryland; 1 sister, Marsha Potter, and husband Jerry, of Gapland, Maryland; sister-in-law: Sherry McNieve; Of Inwood, WV, 2 grandchildren: Brittany and Dylan; and many nieces,
nephews, and friends.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, W. Lamar Viands; 2 brothers, Patrick and Michael McNive; and her sister, Shirley McNive.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with Bill Ball officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
