Obituary for Harold Bell Stanley

Harold Bell Stanley, 90, of Ranson, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014, at the home of his son.

Born August 4, 1923,in Jasper, AR, he was the son of the late Orville Stanley and Sara Jackson Stanley.

Mr. Stanley was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during World War II and a member of the VFW.

He was retired from the Bendix Corporation.

He is survived by his children, Russ Stanley, of Ranson, WV, Joyce B. Ponton and husband Joseph, of Union Bridge, MD, and Janis F Stanley, of Lakeview, AR; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Stanley, of South Bend, IN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Lenore (Parkinson) Stanley; one grandchild, Brandy Horn; one brother, Gordon Stanley and one sister, Mary Jo.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25403.
