Larry Edward Thatcher, 72, of Martinsburg, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home.

Born on October 29, 1941, he was a native of Martinsburg and was the son of the late Edward Newton and Dorothea Hughes Thatcher, and a member of the Thatcher’s Dairy family.

He was a member of the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church.


Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Karen Taylor Thatcher; one son, Bret Thatcher; four daughters, Kym Perrella, Sheryl Smith, Tonja Thatcher-Shawyer, and Nikki Mason; nine grandchildren, Ashley Thatcher, Garrett and Kyle Perrella, Derrick and Brittany Smith, Cassaundra Shawyer, Toni and Brandon D’Angelo, and Jake Mason; two brothers, John Nailler and Bill Fouty; and one sister, Becky Gregory; brothers-in-law, Frank Corbin and Tom Corbin; sister-in-law, Susan Hall; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Marie; and a brother Wink Price.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Tuscarora Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rachel Crumley officiating.

Interment will be in the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
