The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Kendra Rutherford can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Sweet girl

I received an email saying it's been almost a year since Kendra passed but I already knew that. I knew that because I remember it wasn't long after the Martinsburg Christmas parade. I remember you saying you had a great time with your daughter. I remember you being in Martinsburg. We had chatted through facebook about your pregnancy and how excited you were. I saved the message. However a few weeks later the very last thing you said to me was " I wish I could stay home with my babies like you do. How do you do it?". I saved that message too. We kept in touch through picture shares and were busy over the holidays. I was working seasonally at Gymboree. It was late that evening when I walked in the break room and checked my phone to see several texts. Texts that brought me to my knees and tears to my eyes because it didn't seem true or real. We went all through st. Joes together, I remember you in the band in MHS but it wasn't until later years we became closer, when we became mothers. It seems like we shared a lot and I now cherish those chats. See, I don't have just one memory of a Kendra because she wasn't a one memory kind of girl. I miss our talks and your smile and laughter. I know you're having a great time in Heaven but it doesn't make you missed any less.
